Marilyn was a big supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. Ella Fitzgerald was one of Marilyn’s idols and a major inspiration. However, the Mocambo nightclub in West Hollywood, the most popular dance spot at the time, refused to let Ella perform there because she was black. Outraged, Marilyn told the owners that if they would let Ella perform, she would be there in the front row every time Ella was onstage. She did, and the two became friends.
According to the great Ella Fitzgerald: “I owe Marilyn Monroe a real debt…it was because of her that I played the Mocambo, a very popular nightclub in the ’50s. She personally called the owner of the Mocambo, and told him she wanted me booked immediately, and if he would do it, she would take a front table every night. She told him - and it was true, due to Marilyn’s superstar status - that the press would go wild. The owner said yes, and Marilyn was there, front table, every night. The press went overboard. After that, I never had to play a small jazz club again. She was an unusual woman - a little ahead of her times. And she didn’t know it.”

So I haven’t been on here in quite some time. Nice layout, Tumblr. But then I see I have new followers. Lol hi guys. Twitter’s fun and whatnot but there’s no outlet quite like the gift that was placed in me. I sing. I write. I minister. Not perform. I’m vulnerable to melodies and submissive to voice. That’s what I know. That’s what I love. I won’t be moved. Anything else can happen but I won’t turn my back on it. Music gives me what love from a man cannot. Music fills a void that can’t be painted by food. Lol I’m a mess for that illustration. There’s no real purpose to this post but I had to say something. No one really knows how to verbalize their thoughts or successfully communicate. I’m working on that every single day. I wake up singing and spend my day filled with songs. Take a hold of what you know and love it.

Samsung Pays Apple $1 Billion Sending 30 Trucks Full of 5 Cents Coins

More than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

the funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best.

This dirty but genius geek troll play is a new headache to Apple executives as they will need to put in long hours counting all that money, to check if it is all there and to try to deposit it crossing fingers to hope a bank will accept all the coins.

Lee Kun-hee, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, told the media that his company is not going to be intimidated by a group of “geeks with style” and that if they want to play dirty, they also know how to do it.

You can use your coins to buy refreshments at the little machine for life or melt the coins to make computers, that’s not my problem, I already paid them and fulfilled the law.

A total of 20 billion coins, delivery hope to finish this week.

Let’s see how Apple will respond to this.
